If you see a dog measure out and the judges let it through, bring a complaint to the Field Trial Secretary of that club, then file a complaint with the AKC. They will start sending a rep to the trials of that particular club to ensure no funny business ...

You need to bring your grievance to the Field Trial Secretary of the club. If you are not satisfied, then contact AKC.

There is no gray area when it comes to measuring.

Just because the rules for measuring were broken at one club does not mean this happens at every club.

I have 2 males with epilepsy...

I have them medicated with phenobarbital and potassium bromide.

They hunt just fine. I would not breed them though.

What signs are your dog showing? Mine have seizures a few times a year....

Success to me is spending time in the field with my dogs, Dad, and other friends.

If everyone comes home safe, that is important. Getting game is icing on the cake.

I keep a journal of all our hunts. It's always fun to look through and recall all the good times in the field!

Sounds to me like the click does not like to be beat by an outsider....... Nobody is being beat by anyone. How can you get beaten by another houndsman if they don't enter any of your trials?
